Smoking for the first time on Friday

Hi Ents,

I'm smoking for the first time on Friday and I've heard that the first time you smoke you don't get high. My question is if I were to smoke at say 6pm, could I smoke at like 9pm and get the high then? Is there a minimum time between your first smoke and when you'll feel the high?
