Looking to drop traditional cable TV, need suggestions!

So I don't really like Netflix or Hulu, but I want to get internet-based television. I don't really have a strict channel selection necessity but Discovery/Science/Military channel, obviously most won't have local channels but that's really all we need. I've done some searching and found ITVMediaPlayer looks to be the right thing, anyone had experience with this service or others? Let me know!
