Gnome construct builder

I'm playing in a 3.5 campaign and I want to try something new. I want to play a Gnome wizard that builds and rides constructs. Other than golems, I'm having a lot of trouble finding information on building them. There doesn't seem to be prices or required spells for most construct. Does anyone have anything useful?

TL:DR I like robots.
