Friend is quitting being a brony :(

OK before you judge me, I'm not trying to stop him from his decision, he has the right to decide whatever he wants and I'm not being obsessive and trying to stop him from leaving. What's happening is that he's leaving not because of the show, but because of all the guys who rub mlp on everybody, the fanfics, and of course the clops. And it's just driven him to the conclusion that this fanbase is awfull and is deciding to leave it. And yeah it's true, this isn't the perfect fanbase, it has very clear downs and some ups, I say clear downs because people concentrate more upon those downs. And I am aware of the animation, art and music that I find fantastic but it just doesn't make a difference. For example, in a battery there have to be equal protons and electrons on both sides or else they cancel out leaving either more protons or more electrons, what I think is happening is that there appear to be more electrons than protons. The negatives outweigh the protons leaving behind more electrons (negatives) instead of more protons (positives) (I'm not even sure if I'm using a right analogy here hahaha) Anyway, I don't expect consolation cause, let's face it this is the internet, but I just want to share what those parts of the fanbase have done upon other people. Yes I know it may never change but... I'm just getting it out of my chest.

EDIT 2: I'm actually thinking it's also that he just doesn't like how people are so passionate about the show and how we act, he claims we are just as bad as the sonic fanbase. And hey this thread really changed my views upon the community cause you aided imediately to a brony in need and I see now how caring and helpful the fandum is, guess I was just on 4chan.org/mlp for too long and that gave me a bad scense hahahaha but anyway just... thank you guys :)
