I quit my tax accounting job of three years and I'm spending the next three months working at a ski resort but i have no idea what to do for work next. Have you ever been at a similar crossroad?

TLDR: At the end of september i will be unemployed and i have no desire to continue being a seasonal worker and no desire to go back to accounting. Have you come to a cross road like this? How did you handle it?

Long Version Straight out of high school i got offered a job doing tax accounting which i happily accepted being 18 and feeling as though I had just won the lottery. I found myself getting unhappier and unhappier in this job and decided enough was enough and quit. I have taken a job working in a hotel doing reception duties on one of Australia's snowy mountains but after this is over i don't want to travel overseas and chase the next snow season i want to peruse a career.

What career? i don't know but one of you must have been in a similar situation.

How did you decide your path?

Did you write up a list and have someone pick one?

Did you regret not taking a different path?
