Damn you, analytic English!

In the Queen song "Who wants to live forever", I always had problems understanding the line And we can have forever, that is I didn't trust myself what I heard in place of the word have. So I looked up the lyrics, realized it was actually have, and subsequently realized that in the title line forever is an adverb and in the other line it's a noun.

For some reason I deemed this realization interesting enough for r/linguistics. -- Did you have similar experiences with something you heard?
