Backups Checklist

Hi Guys/Girls,

I've been thinking of updating my way of how our company checks that backups have been successful or not.

currently we have a spreadsheet (xlsx) document that sits on a server that gets open by one member of staff per day and then he/she proceeds to check the emails that get sent into the backup inbox for the failures and successes.

I'd like to what other sysadmin's use to mark the success and failures of there backups.

(Im coming from a MSP prespective here)

TL;DR.

What/how do you guys mark down your backups in your environments?
