Does friendship actually exist?

i had a friend for about 3 years, we were not neighbors but live in the same neighborhood, some months ago this really nice girl came to the neighborhood, i was single by that time, he had a girlfriend, so time passed and i got this girls number, he knew i was speaking with her for some time already, he once saw me texting with her, he got jelly and said, you still speaking with that girl??? (she is a year younger than us) i didnt answer, so he checked out that i texted with her al day since we were never at the neighborhood, so yesterday he has the balls to show me that he invited her out for a walk and she said yes, he already knew i was into her and didnt mind, today she spoke to me, friendzoned me, and said that she wanted my comfort because my "so called friend" had made her cry, and then i asked myself, does friendship actually exist????
