I grew up in a basketball centered town and us fellow wrestlers would get absolutely no respect, even though we worked much harder than the basketball team. Does anyone else have similar experiences regarding wrestling?

I wrestled for a high school that used to be very passionate about wrestling. My dad actually coached back in our heyday. Now it seems like the surrounding area could care less about the team and we seem to be disrespected. Do you fellow wrestlers have the same problems?
