Do profession specific armors exist? And can you transmutate them?

Hi guys!

After viewing the Sylvari creation video, I fell in LOVE with the 'Mesmer final armor' (previewed when you are choosing your profession). I was wondering if these armors are PROFESSION specific? (i.e. only Mesmer can equip this armor). And, if so, are you able to transmutate them to other cloth armor (i.e. for an Elementalist?).

Thanks for your help!
