IAmA Canvasser (aka clipboard slinger!) for an environmental nonprofit. AMAA.

For the past few months I've been working as a paid fundraiser, canvassing for an environmental nonprofit group, The Nature Conservancy. No, NOT Greenpeace... I've heard every kind of verbal abuse, every argument against protecting and preserving wilderness areas, and memorized enough scripts to make the head of an aspiring actor spin! So, if you always happen to pass by the people in the green shirts standing outside your grocery store asking you for money, now's you're chance! AMAA. (I'm not a media representative for the organization I work for and will answer questions about MY experience as a public outreach representative.
