Winter Coat

So I'm looking to get a good heavy winter coat for college (going to a substantially colder place) and I'm looking to get a new, heavier winter coat. I already own a peacoat (tailored and everything) which should serve as a good semi-formal to formal coat, so this is going to be mostly a casual coat. I like the look of the bomber jacket, since it will match well with jeans in most cases. The only problem is that the bomber jackets mentioned in the sidebar all seem to cost over $800. So does anyone know of a cheap(er) jacket, perhaps in the $300 range? If not, I'll probably just buy a Parka from Northface.

On a side note, What are some good Parkas from Northface? I'm talking more about cold control in addition to style. I'm looking at freezing conditions and wind at college, so what is the best Parka in your opinion.

AND YES I'VE READ THE SIDEBAR. RIGHT NOW I'M LOOKING MORE FOR QUALITY (FOR THE PARKA)
