Women don't die.

I am an ex-born again Christian, and I am dumbfounded at the things in the Bible I used to believe. I'll go ahead and skip over the poor moral guidance that it advocates and get straight to the conflict it has with facts. As the title said, I was reading through the book of Genesis and I realized that among God's punishment to the woman ('Eve'), the revocation of her immortality was not present. I am amazed that not only does a literal interpretation of the Bible say that the Earth is less than ten or twenty thousand years old, but that women do not die. Of course the quickest response from a Judeo-Christian theist would be that I am misinterpreting the scripture, or that it is not literal. This to me always discredited the Bible from being "the infallible word of God."

Relevant passage: Genesis 3:16 [KJV]: To the woman he [God] said, "I will greatly increase your pain in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you."

Hmm...inconveniently small womb, subjugation, but I don't see death anywhere?

Am I misunderstanding this? Is this not a valid point to bring up in an argument?

TL;DR- The Genesis account of the Bible says that women don't die. But this is not inconsistent with its other inaccuracies. Just thought I'd share one of the crazy things I used to believe. :)
