Stuck at 'preparing Killing Floor files for install'

Just bought this game yesterday and it was loads of fun, but after the recent mini-update it's stuck at 'Update Required'. I've tried uninstalling and re-downloading but now it gives me a connection timeout whenever I try to.

Any help?

EDIT: To clarify, I haven't actually downloaded the update yet.

EDIT 2: Nvm, switched download regions and it's downloading (slowly)
