Biggest question on control ending for me

Also, not sure what's considered a spoiler right now XD

Why is there no scene of your Shepard even mentioning your love interest? I would've liked to have seen my Shepard at least sending a message to her LI. Or a scene with Shepard's LI crying over a tombstone...or something.

My favorite remedy to this would be something after the ending like the control "breath" thing except it shows Shepard's LI walking up to a reaper, saying "Shepard?" and then light engulfing them. It would still leave a bit of mystery but show that Shepard still cares for her LI.

EDIT: My LI was Liara btw. Garrus is nice but he's more of a best friend for me XD
