LGBT people of Reddit....What were your best and worst coming out experiences?

Best: I decided to come out to my cousin Liz around a year ago. I was never really close with her and she is republican and fairly religious as well as conservative. She would always say that she would be disappointed if I was gay and made me promise I was not. So I decided to invite her to the park to go for a walk. In the middle of our walk I said "Remember that time when you made me promise" and she cut in and said "I KNEW IT!" she took it so much better than I ever imagined she would and was very sympathetic and it turns out that although religious and conservative, she doesn't believe it's a choice and supports gay marriage. Ever since I came out to her we have become incredibly close and talk at least a couple times a week.

Worst: Earlier this year I came out to my Grandma. She's a very nice and generous person in general but incredibly religious and conservative. She actually doesn't even support inter-racial marriage. She told me she was very concerned about AIDS, seems to think that I can change, wanted me to speak to a Deacon from her Catholic church, and recently spoke to a Deacon who told her to tell me to look a this website http://couragerc.net/. Oh and she thought a teacher from my school turned me gay.
