215 lbs
I run in my dreams.
I run with the fastest kid in school.
I am the fattest kid.
I am disjointed, disappointed, half remembered,
but I am real.
I run in my dreams.
The fastest kid smiles back at me.
But, my legs are gelatin, and so weak.
I'm afraid that's what I will be,
when I wake up and I'm real.
I run in my dreams.
And did run back when I dreamed of other things.
Back when I was fast.
When footfalls and ragged breath and cold showers and happiness
made me envied.
Back when I was real.
