Some realizations
The longest I had gone without fapping before I discovered this reddit was 30 days in January. The reason was that I had been able to go for months at a time without looking at porn when I tried, but never being able to go without fapping for that same time period. So I challenged myself to make it to 30 days and met my goal. Of course I made the error of choosing celebratory fapping. Which led to the strongest relapse I've ever had.
I kept falling into the same trap, even knowing exactly where it was this time.
Don't be discouraged by failing, and most importantly don't be the fish that bites the same bait twice.
There is a world of difference in me from then to now.
For one, I'm a man. The best realization that I have gained so far is that you're always in control. I can choose to change. I can choose to fap. I can choose to train my ass off. I can choose to give up. I can choose to fight.
If every choice is yours , then there is no reason to feel sorry for yourself.
That's just one realization so call me out on a misleading title , but it's the only one that is important. Realizing that you are the one that makes what you desire occur.
The funny thing is that if my parents ask what brought about the change, I'd laugh and tell them that I stopped masturbating myself long enough to finally wake up.
Now I'm just going to speak a little about what it's been like so far. A lot of good things have happened over these days. It hasn't been too difficult for me,because I'm not focusing on it. The days are kind off just adding up. Except for about a week where ,I got so close to getting laid, I can't say I've been all that horny. I am envious of how horny some of you guys say you are. That's about it for now lol.
TLDR; It's Your Choice
