[MP] Rules for a reason & Contest updates

Hi all,

Dragon here. I just want to bring to attention our rule system. First off, here is how to deal with a post that breaks the rules:

Use the report button. It is completely anonymous, and we mods don;t know who reported the post, just that it was reported. Please don't report posts willy-nilly either, as it eats up the time us moderators have going through falsely accused posts.

Use the blue arrow. The downvoting button is an alternative to the report button. If a post has not been doing well (say 4+ and 13-) the post will be swiftly removed.

Make the poster aware of the rules. This can be done by either posting a comment on their thread or personally messaging them. VERY IMPORTANT; IF A USER COMMENTS ABOUT THE RULE VIOLATION, DO NOT DOWNVOTE THEM as it is an act of douchebaggery (for lack of a better word) to try to hide a violation concern. Rules are here to be followed.

Message the mods. Drop us a message with a link to the story, and we will check it out.

I cannot stress how important it is to not downvote a rule observer. We are a community of close to 13 500 users, and if we lose our structure, everything will go to shit.

And if it is not already obvious, all informative posts made by mods will be marked with the tag [MP] and are exempt from the ruling system as we are not contributing a story.

CONTEST INFO

I am still in the process of gathering all stories, and deciding on a way to be judged. A more concrete post will be created at a later date.
