Beautiful melody
I will never remember anything as clearly as I remember this afternoon of my life. When I was around 6 or kindergarten age I had gotten done with school and was playing with with some crayons and paper. I live in a very old house, not sure of the date but definitely built before electricity. Every room to my house has a door to it as was the style at the time the house was built. So I was sitting on the floor in my play room coloring when I literally froze in place. Directly through the solid door in the other room is a piano that we have always had. The piano was maybe located four feet from where I was. I listened, paralyzed with fear as a beautiful song started to play. I don't remember the song but I do remember it sounding beautiful and complicated. I tried to reach for the handle to open the door and see what was playing the song just feet away from me but I couldn't do it. The song simply played to the end and then it was silent. I think the scariest part still for me today is just thinking about what I would have seen if I had been brave enough to open the door. If there would have been an image or just the keys moving or if it would have stopped. After the song ended I just sat in the room too afraid to leave it until I heard my brothers get home. I then ran to my moms room who had been taking a nap and hysterically told her what happened. She told me I was lying and she would have heard it too.
I still hate being alone in my house. The general consensus of my family is now that my house is haunted and my mom tells this story sometimes even though when it happened she didn't believe me. I have experienced other scary and strange things but this by far being the most traumatic.
