[TOMT][Book] Classic identity compromised, must clean the slate book I read from an airport store.

Male lead character is compromised and has to go under the radar. Government or someone is looking for him. I think he was an assassin actually. Not an evil assassin, but a hired hand for moral jobs. I don't remember the details obviously. Guy ends up having to kill an old clerk at a gas station because he needed cash. He checks into hotels asking for a cell phone charger or something. Something about that helps him stay under the radar...? Yadada, his female counter part is also compromised and he ends up making things all better and finding the rich bastard target that has been messing his life up. It's all a little fuzzy obviously, but I'm hoping someone can recognize it.

Thanks
