Any Mizmar or Zurna players out there?

I drum (doumbek) for a Belly Dance studio in Texas and have recently been looking into some of the other traditional instruments to back belly dancers. My music background is in woodwinds. I have been practicing the Egyptian ney and I'm about to receive a Mizmar pretty soon.

Any of you music makers out there play the Mizmar or Turkish Zurna and willing to give some advice to a beginner?

Things like reeds, mouth position, embouchure, fingerings, tongue placement. Really anything would help.
