Desktop decoration softwares for Windows? (not screen savers)

If you know Neko, then that is one example of that software. Neko is a really old software from way back during Windows 3.1 era. I'm currently looking for more of that kind of softwares that can (still) run on at least Windows XP. Either old ones or new ones.

The softwares I'm looking for, (usually) are non interactive character animation (with optional sound) that are only visible on the desktop and they won't interfere any open window since they are at the lower visibility level.

Back in Windows 3.1, there's this Disney character animations like Goofy and Donald. They would walk around the desktop doing funny things and avoid open windows as if they are walls or floors. They may go off screen to get around the other side of the wall. Sometimes they bumped on it then fell, then got up to walk again. For Neko, it would sometime scratch the walls, but it can still walk below the walls.

If you understand what I meant, that's special and interesting thing about this kind of desktop decorations. They are aware of all open windows and interpret them as obstructions. And this is done not as screen saver, but live on the desktop while we are using the PC.

Anyone know? :)
