Best place to live in Japan to minimize contact with roaches, centipedes and other scary flatmates?

As the title says, I am wondering where in Japan has fewer bugs but is still a nice place to live? Cold weather doesn't bother me, but some sort of differing four seasons would be nice. Also, decent social life.
