[17/f] How do I get things started with him [18/m] when we're both quite shy and have not much on offer as far as "first date destinations" go.

So I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, still rather new around here.

I was wondering for tips and advice for getting a relationship off the ground.

So I'm 17, female, and I met this guy a few months back, who's 18, and have hung out with him on several occasions in a group scenario. Last time I hung out with him, he was a little drunk but insisted on giving me his number and that we "hang out more".

I've texted him on the odd occasion but I'm fairly shy when it comes to meeting new people and I don't know what is a good way for us to start hanging out. I live in a smallish town (well it technically became a city but its still shit like a small town) and there isn't a whole lot to do. If I lived in a city I would probably get him to go play at TimeZone with me or go bowling or something, but none of those good things exist where I live.

Reddit, how do I start to get this off the ground? What are some good ways to hang out in the least awkward-silence-inducing scenarios?

I should also mention that personality wise, he seems kind of shy like I am. It takes some effort to get a conversation going, but once it gets going, I really, really enjoy his company.
