Any Los Angeles area homebrewers interested in doing a single-hop comparison brew?

Hey guys. I'm fairly new to homebrewing (4 brewed, 1 bottled), and one thing that I'm really feeling like I don't have a strong grasp on is differing hop flavors.

Sure, I can go to the Eagle Rock brewing supply store and sniff his hops, but that really isn't doing it for me.

I was thinking it'd be pretty cool do something like what's described here. Basically, do something like a hoppier pale ale or IPA, keep everything constant, except use different hop varieties (but only one type all the way through a beer).

Depending on interest, we could maybe split up a 5 gallon batch into 5 small brew kettles, or just do individual 5 gallon batches with identical recipes/ingredients.

Anyone interested?
