Reddit, what's something you said and immediately regretted it afterwards?

Once, I was talking to my mom about why I didn't want to go back to school that Monday. Just being an idiot teen. She asked me why I didn't want to go back, and I replied "Well, nothing interesting ever happens. Like a school shooting or something."

Immediately after I felt like a total ass and of course didn't actually mean it. I couldn't rephrase or justify it without sounding like an idiot. I am an idiot.
