Help with a game suggestion?

Hi! I used to play games like Sword of the Samurai and Covert Action in the 1990s. The appeal of these games was that it was completely random but very complex at the same time - you could complete the mission, or your career within an hour or so.

Would anyone have a suggestion for a complex, random title like this? I play mostly RTS & RPGs so I think I'm just yearning for something I can finish quite quickly but replay often.

Sorry, if this question is unsuited to AskGames. Thanks for your help.
