how can i find a good therapist - has anyone in my area (west L.A.) had experience with one, especially someone who has been through childhood abuse?

i am in west L.A./ santa monica. i actually have a very good therapist for myself. i have tried many, for many years. several months ago i went to UCLA psychiatric as an inpatient. they helped me get set up with a good psychiatrist and therapist after i checked out. the problem is my husband. my problems are intertwined with his, and he got a therapist who turned out to be totally worthless. he has similar issues to me, many of which stem from an abusive childhood as do mine. after going through so many therapists in my life, i can only conclude that there are not many therapists who can properly treat issues which stem from abusive childhoods. i am wondering if we can share info on our experience with particular therapists/psychiatrists in case someone in the same area is looking for one? maybe set something up like r/kindle has, where someone with a book to lend posts what they have, and someone who is looking for a book puts out a request.
