What were your home-brewed alcohol experiences like, Reddit?

I'm currently on my 2nd bottle of handmade apple-ginger mead. When I say 2nd bottle, I mean a 12 oz. beer bottle. Nobody's quite sure on the percentage, I've heard as much as 20% from different sources, but it doesn't taste like it'd have that much...not to mention, I'm not feeling it much, at least not yet.

So, reddit, how's your home-brew?
