Cool chords for metal?

I'm a metal guitar player and i'm looking to get out of the basic power chord rhythms and find some new chords to use. I've been wondering if anyone knows of any awesome chords that sound cool in thrash and death metal. They can be in standard or drop tuning. I'm a big fan of some of the ones Nile uses like where they (in a drop tuning) do a power chord on the bottom three strings and add a minor triad on top of that. (Frets from lowest to highest string - 10 10 10 12 15 15) Epic, middle eastern sounding chords like that are some that I really like just to give you an example. Anything kind of weird and epic sounding is welcome. Thank you for your help!
