I'm buying this game, I'm excited. I have one question before I buy it on Origin.
Hey everyone,
I've never played an MMORPG before and I've decided to play SWTOR as I love Star Wars. It seems to have an active player base around my area (Sydney, Australia) as I've noticed a few guilds still going strong. The only people who don't seem to like it are WoW veterans. I haven't played either games, but SWTOR interested me much more.
I also noticed it's going F2P (I hope it doesn't turn into a typical Facebook community, full of annoying cunts) and I was wondering if the:
F2P feature will have no costs for buying the game upfront, only costs included for purchasing 60-day game cards or a monthly subscription fee.
OR
F2P is strictly a trial and the game still needs to be purchased after level 15 is hit, along with the 60-day game cards or a subscription. This is what I'm assuming.
Excuse my ignorance, but the reason I'm asking this is because I would totally freak out if I bought the game for $60 AUD tonight, when tomorrow the software download from Origin may not cost anything. I heard the F2P feature will be available on the 10th of July in the US (11th for me tomorrow)
SWTOR forums are offline due to maintenance so r/swtor was the best choice. (I was going to avoid posting here because I've been lurking for a while and there's negativity whenever 'F2P' is mentioned)
Thanks for your help. I'm looking forward to playing this game
Edit: My question answered below. The game is strictly a trial. Awesome, I'm going to buy it now.
Thanks for all of your help.
