Does one have to read the entire Bible before calling themselves a Christian?

My mother is a Catholic and in her early fifties, and she has admitted she has not read the entire Bible. While she has probably been exposed to a lot of scripture in more than fifty years' worth of mass, I doubt she has read the whole thing.
