pokemon communication

i have been thinking... pokemon can only say their own names or deviations of their own name and this would make up their language. the question is how do pokemon communicate with each other when they can only say their own name.

logically if i speak French to you and your reply is in mandarin, we wont understand each other. in the same way pickachu cannot speak to charmander because they speak a different language.

fellow scientists what are your thoughts?
