Football email marketing help

Hi guys

I work for a Digital Marketing agency and we recently got a contract with a Premier League club for their email marketing campaigns.

I'm trying to get an idea on how different clubs do their email marketing so if you get a newsletter and have some spare time to write down a few lines on the club, how often they send out emails and how likely you are to read them and open links within them that would help me so much.

The campaign is for a Premier League winner of the last few years (Can't name them yet) so I'm also looking for interesting things we can incorporate online so if you saw anything online recently that impressed you like the Man U/Chelsea Facebook timelines or Arsenal 125 Years campaign please write it down.
