Reddit, is it strange that I have no desire to have a SO or be in a relationship in my lifetime?

My parents constantly wish and pester me to get in a relationship but I reply to them with I'd rather spend my time earning money than have a girlfriend. I see being in a relationship as being slightly pointless and a waste of my time (no offence). Also, am I alone on this viewpoint?
