Does anyone else hate the Machina?

I play sniper more than I do other classes, because of two reasons. 1, I play smart, and move from nest to nest to ensure that I can always get that next headshot. 2, I have a trackball mouse, so I'm much more accurate, not necessarily due to any skill. I absolutely hate and refuse to use the Machina. Sure, it does a little bit more damage, but it cuts out a good chunk of the Sniper's advantages. The sniper can strike from much farther distances, and should remain relatively unseen. The Machina kills that, and makes everyone aware of exactly where you are on the field. Also, it alerts unwary targets to near-misses.

A good portion of the Sniper's advantage is the all of a sudden kill. The victim isn't even aware of your presence, and the Machina can destroy this.

People use the Machina just because it looks cool and because it does a bit more damage, most of the people I see on the servers I frequent who choose the Machina are the F2P noobs we all run into, often they go ragesniper and run afoul of my bazaar bargain.

Also, even in Deus Ex (the game it comes from), it's the worst sniper in the game, for the same reason.

That's why I have a hate-on for the Machina, does anyone else agree? Disagree? I've given my feelings on the rifle, how about your opinion on it?
