[AMA] Denominational series, AoG, Military

I was supposed to do this one on the 9th, but seeing as how my day runs from 11 evening - noon the next day, my days got screwed around sooooo I'm doing it today!

I'm a member of an Assemblies of God church in the Midwest. I am a member of the United States Air Force and proud of it.

Some backstory, I initially "found" Jesus at the age of 12. Spent a few years in a church with my family but never really felt a part of that church. Through some unfortunate events, I fond myself rebelling from Christianity because I thought that all Christians were like those I had found in that church (not the best of people). This was around the age of 17.

Later on, when I was about 19, I found God again in college. Through some student ministries I found a group of people that shared the same feelings I had, and discovered that Christianity wasn't just those types of people I had met early on.

Fast forward a year, college is pretty expensive so I leave and enlist in the Air Force. They have 100% tuition payment so I'm using my time here to pay for my degree. I constantly deal with an anti-christian sentiment, mostly due to the fact that I'm in a technologically- and scientifically-oriented field.

I'm completely open to discussion but not debate. i.e. I can and will explain all my beliefs and answer every question, but I will not debate whether or not my position in the military jepardizes my faith, whether I am a "bad" christian for supporting the war effort, etc etc. In my experience, very little good comes from those sorts of questions, and those are mostly fueled by some sort of held anger or agression on the part of the asker, and do nothing to forward the discussion.

So ask me anything :)
