Suggestion: A City Map - The battle spreads to the city streets of Demacia!

I love the existing maps and think, if LoL Lore could include it, a city map would be a fun addition.

Here are a few quick thoughts on how it could look...

  • Towers are replaced by gates that repel attacks with a boiling oil that is squirted from a gargoyle above/on them.

  • The jungle is replaced by city markets, gardens, courtyards, or parts of (broken?) buildings.

  • Brush is replaced by building's verandas, street vendor/hawkers equipment, and tapestries/curtains inside buildings.

  • Golems, wraiths, wolves, dragons, and barons are replaced by ... their bustling city equivalents??

  • Lanes are cobbled streets and in places muddy/sewered.

  • The muddy unpaved street part could be the equivalent of the river in SR, and it could slow players or even cause them to slide (I often wish the river in SR would wash players away or at least slow them). Perhaps in parts... sewage would flow over streets to slow players. Or a canal could wind its way through the map, that can be crossed by bridges or in parts waded through. I often wish SR had a couple of hills and tunnels... so a city map could make up for this by having a few bridges, sewer pipes, etc that can be navigated by players.

  • The goal of the map could be for teams to fight each other in a race to capture a tower in the middle (capture the flag-ish but not like Dominion's multiple bases) - something different from the current maps in regards to general direction of play.

  • Overall the look of the map is not dark like PG and TT, nor mostly green like SR, but light - a sandy colour (of cobbled lanes) with darker colours for brick and wooden buildings etc. For this reason I've suggested Demacia and not Noxus.

Perhaps part of a city is too big, and part of a castle is a better idea - inside it and/or on the battlements and fighting running between towers overlooking the city at an awesome height (so you could w enemies off ramparts as ali, or just fall off from making the wrong move here and there ;) ? I don't mind, as long as it doesn't look too dark and 'concretey' like TT, and uses man made structures like parts of buildings to allow fun game-play.

Edit: Writing this suggestion has stirred a related idea that's been in my mind since I started playing LoL - that it would fun if you could play with a team from map to map. I mention this here, because it would be neat if after battling in SR your team moves to fight the same team or another one in a city map, and then possibly the battle ends in a castle map or some other key structure related to the city. Perhaps only winning teams go through to the next map? It adds more of a LoL Lore story layer over games, and for those with the time for 2-3 consecutive games over the same number of maps, it adds something different and fun.

Please comment and add your own ideas!
