Broadway Tickets evening sale

Hey guys, I'm visiting New York with my family in a few days and would love to see a musical / play on Broadway, but when I checked the prices they were just too high for me. I've heard that there is a daily sale with reduced prices on Times Square and would like to know if there are going to be spare tickets for the bigger plays as well or if those are just going to be from smaller shows. I would really like to see "Harvey" starring Jim Parsons, does anyone happen to know if there is a number of tickets reserved for the daily sale? When I checked Broadway.com there were only very few tickets left and I doubt that there would be any leftovers if nothing is reserved for the daily sale.

Furthermore, If you guys do have any recommendations on which musical / play we should watch, feel free to submit them. I heard "Book of the Mormons" is hilarious, but it's even more expensive.

Sorry for grammar mistakes and thanks in advance.
