Sorry for the slow update. It's okay, we're still safe.

Okay, sorry I didn’t keep you all updated as often as I could. It’s been a crazy day. So, as you know, I was stuck on a roof in Melbourne with Toby and Sarah, waiting out Zeds. We had a scare in the middle of the night with Toby on guard duty. Sarah and I were sleeping under a small blanket we found under the front counter of the store when we were woken by Toby’s nervous voice.

I can still hear the words exactly. “Uhh, guys? I think we’re about to have some company.” Sarah and I jumped to our feet, grabbing the first thing that our hands could find. I don’t remember what I grabbed since the next few moment were a blur. A Zed wandered into the main part of the store and we waited with baited breath until it left again. Thankfully it couldn’t smell us.

However the downside was there was no more sleep to be had last night. So, when the first light of morning came we looked over the edge of the roof and were glad to see nothing moving in sight. We grabbed a few things from the shop (mostly just some canned foods, a jar of coffee, some long life milk and some sugar.)

We kept going forward towards the Eureka, because none of us felt like it should be a total wash, especially after sleeping on a god damn roof. When we reached it, it was worse the we expected. Please, I beg no one to go there if you’re nearby. The entrance to the building looked like raiders were living there.

There were the skinned corpses of Zeds hanging everyone in the entrance and when we looked in the front door we could see bodies on the ground. I also thought I heard a could of female screams from inside, though that could have been one of those undead bastards.

So we went back to the car and headed back to our safe house with ease. There’s no words I can think of right now to express exactly how elated I was to see it was untouched while we were away for the night.

So that’s it, you’re all caught up, now we’re just sitting around, drinking coffee and making plans. At the moment it looks like out next trip may be back into Melbourne be towards the docklands. There’s a Costco there that we could scavenge from, but we might want to plan better that we did with this trip, first.
