Stuck on loading

After updating this morning( I used the worrom updater ) I keep getting stuck on the final loading screen right before my character loads. Has anyone else encountered this, and does anyone know the solution to this problem?

EDIT: I was running through steam. If you use six updater to update, running the game through six updater seems to also fix the problem.
