What does it feel like to break a bone? Minor or major.

I'm 26 and the most I've broken is part of a flange on my little finger and the doctor has decided it needs no attention.

I worry about my situation, pain and ability to get help if I ever break a bone. Do you just somehow deal with it and get on with it or sit in pain until you're helped? I'd like your stories no matter how detailed. Thanks!
