Anyone notice the 10+ minute delay on score alerts?

Don’t know if you guys noticed but mlb score notifications used to be really good, sometimes coming up before the broadcast would show. Now, it’s 10-15 minutes after the fact and it’s kinda annoying. Anyone else having this problem?

Yes, but I like it. it's nice that the notification doesn't spoil the game when watching live

This. I turned off score notifications because they'd kept on happening a bit before the actual play. Nothing quite like a big, exciting, tension-filled moment getting spoiled by your phone lighting up to say "GAME OVER YOUR TEAM LOST SORRY!"

Always sucks when you're down by 1 in the 9th and hear your phone vibrate cause you know the game just ended and you lost.

Except it also vibrates with score alerts so I just knew the vibration meant look up at the TV now

I prefer it. It kind of ruins watching a broadcast to get a notification on your phone before you watch it happen in real life.

I use The Score app for all my score alerts across sports.

Bro I swear the score updates before the live game sometimes

I was at the Reds game the other day and the score told me what was going to happen on every pitch before it happened. I made a lot of money on bets that day.

Last season, my girlfriend at the time (now ex) insisted on getting score updates through the MLB app.

It was great when we were away from the game. There were a few occasions it prompted us to tune in.

But most of the time? We would be watching the Padres game and every. Single. Run scored was spoiled by her phone updates. Drove me crazy and took the fun out of the broadcast.

For me, possibly because of the rural area I live in would usually get the score alerts just a few seconds after, and occasionally before. I agree it shouldn’t be before, but I’d like it if it was about a 20-30 second delay

Sounds ideal to me.

And honestly, as long as you were watching with respectful people (again… EX girlfriend haha) it was working as intended.

On top of the delays, anyone else getting double notifications?

It’s been like borderline 20-30 minutes this week

Yep, I got the game over notification for the Rays like at least 30 minutes after it had ended.

Same for the Diamondbacks Braves game from yesterday. I wasn’t watching at that moment, so I was wondering why the the hell the 9th inning was taking ages to finish. I’d prefer that than the spoiler notifications that ruin broadcasts.

It happens to me occasionally. Sometimes I’ll be on time during a game and sometimes it’ll be WAY behind later the same night.

I agree withost that it's nice to avoid spoilers but there are some like no hitter alerts that i go to turn on the game and the no hitter is already gone. If I were able to watch, maybe it would have turned out differently.
