Seems a bit lofty on the pricing and goals...

Well, I'm seven days in and just over halfway there, so lofty maybe, but clearly not unrealistically so!

Did you do cross-promotion on reddit? Anywhere else?

I'm posting one shirt design a week on a gallery site where I have about 2500 watchers, and I've been posting updates to a private twitter account. At the midpoint I'm going to announce it on my primary twitter account (which has about 750 followers) and toward the end I'll post about it on my webcomic, which has 700 RSS subscribers.

Right now the pledge split is more or less even 50/50 between referrals that I've sent in and randos who discovered it through Kickstarter.

I can write up a postmortem with my observations on how to pitch t-shirt printing on kickstarter when it's all done, if you like.

Dammit! I was gonna try this. Let us know how it works out.

No reason you still can't!

Actually, I'm working up a series of designs for a full blown clothing line like Affliction, Attitude, Ed Hardy, et al. Once I have 5 designs finished, I think I'm going to try the Kickstarter route.

When I mean "like"...the designs are similar in style but the subject matter is completely different...almost a pot shot at those clothing brands and the "bro-wear" culture. :)
