Chun-Li and magecraft

Does Chun-Li trigger magecraft from copying the cards with kick counters when she attacks, even if you don't cast them? So if you exile a swords to plowshares and pongify and only cast the swords, does magecraft trigger 3 times?

An ability that triggers when you "cast or copy an instant or sorcery spell" won't trigger if you copy an instant or sorcery card in exile or in a graveyard (spells exist only on the stack [C.R. 112.1]), but it will trigger when you cast a copy of a card as an instant or sorcery spell (C.R. 112.1b, 707.12).

Thus, such an ability can trigger only once in your example.

Note that the magecraft ability word, like all ability words, has no game mechanics inherent to it (C.R. 207.2c).

No, because you aren't copying a spell, you are copying a card and then casting that copy. Magecraft abilities will only trigger if it actually gets cast.
