If we end up with any doctors in here, could you please explain to me how that much blood came up due to a head wound? It almost seemed like there must have been another injury to the torso or something. My only real guess for it atm is that an artery ruptured in his neck? That’s all I got.

Head wounds bleed like a motherfucker, so many arteries and veins everywhere, even a nick on the scalp will put out what seems like an inordinate amount of blood. Put some serious damage (say, a skull fracture from a stone), and then you’ll have all sorts of damaged pipes just pumping blood into the air
