Any tips for attending the Geelong game?

Anyone been to the footy in Geelong before? I never have, but we'll be in the area this weekend. I tried to get a couple of tickets but it looks like there is only single seats left. Does that sound right? Not sure it would be worth it to sit alone.

Also, if I do get a ticket, any idea how I can make sure I sit with other sainters? It's obviously a bit of a fortress down there so the chances seem slim.

Thirdly, I kind of expected to get word from the club about buying tickets ahead of time, but I guess there's nothing because it's not our home game. My own fault, but some notice would have been nice. Depends if we play there again anytime soon but it might not be that relevant.

Not 100% sure what they’re doing seating wise this season as 1/4 of the ground is being redeveloped, but all the general public tickets should be grouped close together so you’ll be near other saints supporters.

I live across the road from the stadium so if you plan on driving down send me a message and you can park in my driveway if you want, as parking is ridiculous and even the train station charged for parking on game days.

Thanks for the kind offer, but I'll probably get dropped off nearby.

last time I went it was full of geelong supporters, which made it pretty unbearable.

I’ve never been to that ground but single tickets sounds about right.

Melbourne supporters said a few weeks that they were only given 200 tickets for their supporters so I presume it is the same for us. So unless it is a behind the goals ticket, it’s slim chances any saints fans will be beat you.

1/4 of the stand has been demolished so I’m not sure what it’s like on game days there this season. But I think any tickets released to the public are generally for away supporters. If you’re driving down I’d recommend getting g down here early, I live across from the stadium, to get a park anywhere near by.
