I have an idea for a class I want to teach - using Spongebob as the plot-vehicle for the lesson. While I strongly suspect it would qualify under 'Fair Use' for educational purposes ... I'd rather get permission rather than argue after-the-fact if the lawyers at Nickelodeon slap me with a Cease & Desist order.

I have an idea for a class I want to teach - using Spongebob as the plot-vehicle for the lesson. While I strongly suspect it would qualify under 'Fair Use' for educational purposes ... I'd rather get permission rather than argue after-the-fact if the lawyers at Nickelodeon slap me with a Cease &amp; Desist order.

I've Googled this and sent several emails to different departments at Nickelodeon and Paramount - never hear anything back. I've scoured their respective websites... but I only get contact forms and emails that I've already tried. 

Granted, it's a small project - but I'd it's not web-based so I really want to check with them before moving forward.

Anyone have any info or contacts that can help?
