When reading your short story for the first time, I don't fully grasp what's going on. There is Adepis who tidied his house. Oh, is Adepis going to meet his old friends, Julian and Alyssa? And then Adepis cries?

It is only after I reread the second things started to make sense. I think there are too much descriptive writing over things that may not be important, which causes me to lose track what's going on.

Adepis imagined the room enchanted with the aphrodisiacal scents of violets and maybe some lavender - yes, lavender would also be wonderful, he’d be sure to buy some. The petals would adorn the floors, decorating the room as they shed, and, envisioned Adepis, if he left his windows open during a storm, the petals would fly around in the wind, just like his daisy petals did. However, it would be far more pretty than those bland white daisy petals, it would be a beautiful assortment of purples and blues – how refreshing that would be!

So you already know that this is a mess, at least. I won't spend any more time convincing you of that, but hopefully my comments here will help you identify what the mess is. Unfortunately my experience with messes like these is that they are more like knots than messes, and you have to decide whether it's worth the time you'll have to spend untangling.

##Voice

It seems like you're going for some sort of old-timey voice here that I can't quite place. For example:

> The petals would adorn the floors, decorating the room as they shed, and, envisioned Adepis,

You keep saying things like "thought Adepis," "envisioned Adepis," "[verbed] Adepis," and this obviously doesn't resonate as telling the st

Why should I put time and effort into critiquing something which you have put minimal effort into?
